One of the greatest musicals ever written, I had the privilege of working on this rare show at Ithaca College. The gentle and restrained lighting underscores Floyd's relationship with his family, but becomes glaring and harsh when the town is put in the national media spotlight. The whole world is turned on its head during Floyd's death at the conclusion as light seeps in from the floorboards.
