A new, one-act, Theatre for Young Audiences version of this well-known story, based on and set in the time of the book. Dorothy is eager to imagine her way out of the boring and flat world of Kansas. Oz sparkles with pinprincks of color, just like the electric lamps of the glamorized Chicago World's Fair of her pictures. But Oz becomes scary and fake, and ultimately she returns to the now idealized Kansas of an Edward Hopper painting.
